Is a gift to the Building Campaign tax-deductible?
Yes.
Does UMass accept corporate matching gifts?
Yes. Double or triple your gift!!!
Check online or with your HR department. Don't forget to check with your spouse's or partner's employer, too!
How can I pay my pledge?
UMass accepts pledge payments via check, Mastercard, Visa or Discover.
Can I offer stocks or bonds?
Yes. UMass accepts many financial vehicles. Discuss your options with James Mallet.
Can I offer an in-kind gift at fair-market value?
Yes, but it must match needs established by GNP and James. Contact James to discuss your options.
Does UMass offer payment plans?
Yes. By default, pledge payments are billed quarterly. You can request monthly statements, if you prefer.
Does UMass offer EFT billing?
Not at this time. If you have an electronic payments feature available through your bank's web site, you might schedule a recurring payment this way. UMass employees can take advantage of payroll deduction payments.
Can I spread my pledge over multiple years?
Yes. Major gifts can be paid over 4 years. Discuss your options with James.
James Mallet, Director of Development
James works in University Advancement at UMass. His title is Director of Development, Northeast Region. It's his job (almost exclusively) to get the money in place to build the band's new home.
