Parks recognized for “creative activity”
October 5, 2008
With a nod to the campus’ past achievements, Chancellor Robert C. Holub used the pulpit of the Faculty Convocation on Sept. 12 to present the Award for Outstanding Accomplishments in Research and Creative Activity to seven nationally known faculty members.
During the Oct. 5 football game versus Delaware these faculty, including our own George Parks, were honored.
The honorees received an engraved crystal award and a one-year, mobile parking pass.
Nominations for the awards were submitted by deans, department heads and chairs, and faculty. A 10-member selection committee reviewed the nominations and made recommendations to Provost Charlena Seymour.
This is the fourth year the awards have been presented.
