July 2007 Supporters bequest endowment for the Minuteman Band Stan ('55) and Penny Handman were so moved by Minuteman Band performances at Annapolis and the annual Boston Pops show that they decided to do what they can to ensure the Power and Class lives on for a long, long time. Renew your Halftime Club gift today The 2006-2007 school year was one for the books in terms of total dollars raised for the Minuteman Band. The Halftime Club realized over $120,000 in cash and in-kind gifts and the Building Campaign launched with an additional $125,000 in commitments from alumni and friends. In addition, $35,000 in annual scholarship aid has been identified for band members, beginning with the fall 2007 semester. Keep the spirit of the Power and Class strong. Aaron Harmon '07 named 21st Century Scholar Aaron Harman '07 of Natick, Mass., was honored at the 137th Commencement at UMass Amherst as a 21st Century Leader May 26th. One of ten honorees, Harmon completed dual degrees in Psychology and Neuroscience. Dave Prevost and Andy Whalen '07 named UMass student employees-of-the-year Each spring, commencement season approaches and the campus comes alive with a sense of renewal and anticipation for the future. During this time, students, faculty and staff are recognized for their wonderful contributions to the campus.
