Why build a new building?
The Minuteman Band has been without a home for over a decade. Operations, staff and rehearsals are spread across campus in makeshift and sub-standard workspaces. Some are actually slated to be demolished.
What if we don’t achieve the goal?
Pledges committed today buy the band a very basic building. Without additional support, we will have to cut square footage. That will mean fewer (if any) practice rooms and inadequate space for our percussion program--they would continue to rehearse outdoors. And no space for lockers or a changing area.
The urgent deadline
Funds are be needed to help finish the building and provide furnishing. However, if we don’t achieve our goal, we will be forced to make painful cuts in the building program.
